Germany: The first in the world solar brewery to be built in Upper Bavaria

The first in the world solar brewery will be built in Upper Bavaria. The beverage equipment specialist Krones will install an ecological brewery equipment for Hofmühl-Brauery from Eichstaett. The contract on this affair was concluded at the drinktec fair in Munich, Krones AG company said on September 16.

The new solar equipment will care in particularly to heat water with solar power. "When brewing beer, large quantities of water must be heated", explained a Krones spokeswoman. Hofmuehl brewery was created in 1492 by prince bishop Wilhelm von Reichenau.
